Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) today is an emergent set of machine technologies with revolutionary implications for individuals, communities, and the environment. The Critical AI Working Group is a partnership between CCA and the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science (RuCCS), with the goal of establishing a “go-to” platform for disseminating knowledge and ideas about new research, pedagogy, and public discussion over AI and its impacts. The Critical AI initiative undertakes this effort through interdisciplinary collaborations across the humanities, social sciences, computer science, law, public policy, medicine, education, and business. The goal of this Working Group is to bring interdisciplinary humanistic and social-scientific thinking into dialogue with the diverse ethical, technological, social, environmental, and pedagogical challenges of the AI enterprise.
