Graduate students (and faculty): Join us for the inaugural sessions of the CCA Working Group in Public Humanities:
October 10 at 6pm - "How to Find Your Footing as a Public Scholar" Skype Seminar with classicists & public humanists Dr. Donna Zuckerberg and Dr. Sarah Scullin (Editor-in-Chief & Managing Editor, Eidolon)
This working group includes scholars from across the Rutgers campuses who are interested in the Public Humanities. Cross-departmental and interdisciplinary by nature, this working group focuses on building communication between the university community, the scholarship it generates, and diverse publics. Graduate students (and faculty) are invited to discuss the relevance of the humanities in contemporary public life, contributing to a dialogue around community outreach, public writing, project management, experiential learning and engaged pedagogy, the digital humanities and beyond. Ultimately, this working group seeks to explore the variety of ways that humanities scholarship can be co-created alongside, shared with, and generated for a wider variety of audiences. To receive readings associated with seminars, email Tamra Lepro at Working Group Co-Organizers: Dr. Meredith McGill, Dr. Kristin O'Brassill-Kulfan, and Tamra Lepro |
