Are you convinced of the value of the humanities in everyday life? Do you believe in expanding access to dynamic scholarship? Have you wondered about different ways to share your work outside of the academy – especially in the new conditions created by the Covid-19 pandemic? Join us for a series of virtual workshop sessions introducing you to different methodologies within the field. Each session will be an opportunity to learn from a scholar-practitioner, discuss tools, research, case studies – the theory, method, and practice of the field. The weeklong workshop will feature talks, training sessions, and Q&As on digital humanities methods, community-engaged scholarship, oral history, soundscape interpretation, folklife, professionalization outside the academy, writing for public audiences, and more.
All sessions will be held via Zoom. The workshop is free but registration is required.
