You need JavaScript enabled to view it. is Associate Professor of Korean History in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at Rutgers University. Her publications include a guest-edited volume of Cross-Currents: East Asian History & Culture Review on “(De)Memorializing the Korean War” (March 2015) and Everyday Life in the North Korean Revolution, 1945-1950 (2013), which received the 2015 James Palais Book Prize from the Association for Asian Studies. She is currently preparing a monograph on the cultural history of gender formations in North Korea during the Cold War.

Areas of Interest: Modern Korean history, gender studies, cultural studies, and critical theory.
