CCA - The Developing Room - Terry Matilsky
I began serious photography at the age of 13. Through the years I have more or less stuck with black and white, concentrating on wilderness photography, with a break into portraiture when children made trips impossible. I still develop and print 35mm, medium and large format negatives in my own darkroom. I have utilized experimental hybrid UV sensitive emulsions designed by Kodak, using them to take spectra of bright, hot stars in space, mounting cameras and spectrographs on board Aerobee rockets that travel about 100 miles above the surface of the Earth. Currently, I teach an honors seminar at Rutgers entitled: Physics and Photography.
