Rachel is a Mellon Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of English.  She is currently working on two books.  The first, Counting Effects, examines the connections between Romantic poetry and Enlightenment debates about the nature and reality of infinity; a preliminary article drawn from the book's opening chapter is forthcoming in ELH.  The second, Marginal Experiments, identifies an alternate history of experimental poetry grounded in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century women’s daily writing; an introductory article is forthcoming in Studies in Romanticism.
