Medical Humanities

Given Rutgers' planned merger with UMDNJ, the Medical Humanities Working Group is sponsoring a series of monthly conversations to discuss the future of medical humanities at Rutgers. In our discussions about interdisciplinary opportunities created by the merger, the working group--including members from Art History, Comparative Literature, English, History, Sociology--and other interested faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows--will develop plans for future collaborations, programming, guest speakers, and courses. In addition to discussing our own research and scholarship, we'll review examples of existing institutional approaches to the medical humanities with the goal of developing plans that are appropriate for Rutgers.
